Take a hike or a walk this summer through the beautiful nature trail at Bannockburn Conservation Area.
Just off highway four towards Bayfield on Mill Road. When you are on Mill Road, look for the Bannockburn sign.
There are plaques set up along the way with maps and location information to guide you.
This very big, long and adventurous trail is perfect for nature lovers. You will be captivated and intrigued.
Lots much information is provided along your journey to inform you of the forest and its continuous transformations.
Lots of stairs, boardwalks, streams, ponds, wetlands, natural structures, art, and untouched majestic scenes.
I recommend that you walk very slowly and carefully when experiencing this amazing eye-opening trail.
There are large metal spikes that are placed along the sides in various areas to prevent erosion of the soil.
Falling on one of these spikes can be your deal breaker. I stress to please look down often when using this trail.
Being canopied under the luscious trees, while I soaked up the sweet smell of nature made me feel like I was in the Islands again.
If you love trees, nature, trails, water, silence, adventure and being in the great outdoors, this is the place for you.
Try your best to experience this trail this summer. It's great family fun and extremely inexpensive. Get going!
